The techniques I use are based on what you need. Book the desired time slot and I'll assess what you need.
After 16 years of working with a variety of clients, I've learned which techniques work best. When you come to see me, we'll spend a little time discussing your specific issue and then apply a technique to free up the muscle or fascia tissue. Sometimes your tissues don't respond so I'll adjust what I do as I work.
Techniques
Techniques used will be defined by what you need from the session. This is what I am trained in:

Sports Massage
Train, recover, perform
As sports people we tend to push our bodies hard, short-changing it on recovery and sleep in the quest of balancing work, life and sport. Keeping you on top of your training plan is our goal.

Postural Assessment
Observe, identify, implement
Imbalances in load through the muscles and joints often result in injuries or pain, especially when doing repetitive movements, such as running or cycling. By observing your posture, identifying the fascia or muscles affecting your posture and then implementing my strategy to correct this pattern, allows me to identify what may be causing an injury.

Remedial Massage
Relieve, resolve, restore
As we slowly lose our battle against gravity, changes in our posture result in the body's inability to heal a problem. Remedial massage aims to fix issues, so you don't need to live with them.

Kinesio
Taping
Clever, magical, helpful
First patented in 1967, Kinesio Tape works on the fascial system underneath the skin. Neuro sensors in the fascia send information to the brain related to load, by applying Kinesio tape in different ways, a change in the information sent to the brain can get a muscle to activate more strongly or with lower power, or it can be used to reduce pain in the area.

Myofascial Release
Evaluate, align, systemic
Myofascial Release treats the body as an integrated unit. Load runs along fascial lines, with tension in one part affecting the body in another part, usually causing pain. Treating the myofascial system takes an integrated look at the body and aims to rebalance load through the correct fascial lines.

Muscle
testing
Test, comparison, advise
Understanding the symmetry between both sides of the body and identifying where some muscle may not be boing their work, enables me to give exercises to kick-start these muscles so they can pick up the workload from the ones overworking and complaining (usually the ones in pain).
